A huge explosion halfway across the galaxy packed so much power it briefly altered Earth’s upper atmosphere in December, astronomers said Friday.

No known eruption beyond our solar system has ever appeared as bright upon arrival.

But you could not have seen it, unless you can top the X-ray vision of Superman: In gamma rays, the event equaled the brightness of the full Moon’s reflected visible light.

The blast originated about 50,000 light-years away and was detected Dec. 27. A light-year is the distance light travels in a year, about 6 trillion miles (10 trillion kilometers).

The commotion was caused by a special variety of neutron star known as a magnetar. These fast-spinning, compact stellar corpses — no larger than a big city — create intense magnetic fields that trigger explosions. The blast was 100 times more powerful than any other similar eruption witnessed, said David Palmer of Los Alamos National Laboratory, one of several researchers around the world who monitored the event with various telescopes.

Tsunami connection?
Several readers wondered if the magnetar blast could be related to the December tsunami. Scientists have made no such connection. The blast affected Earth’s ionosphere, which is routinely affected to a greater extent by changes in solar activity.

“Had this happened within 10 light-years of us, it would have severely damaged our atmosphere and possibly have triggered a mass extinction,” said Bryan Gaensler of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA).

There are no magnetars close enough to worry about, however, Gaensler and two other astronomers told SPACE.com. But the strength of the tempest has them marveling over the dying star’s capabilities while also wondering if mass extinctions in the past might have been triggered by stellar explosions.

‘Once-in-a-lifetime’
The sun is a middle-aged star about 8 light-minutes from us. It’s tantrums, though cosmically pitiful compared to the magnetar explosion, routinely squish Earth’s protective magnetic field and alter our atmosphere, lighting up the night sky with colorful lights called aurora.

Solar storms also alter the shape of Earth’s ionosphere, a region of the atmosphere 50 miles (80 kilometers) up where gas is so thin that electrons can be stripped from atoms and molecules — they are ionized — and roam free for short periods. Fluctuations in solar radiation cause the ionosphere to expand and contract.

“The gamma rays hit the ionosphere and created more ionization, briefly expanding the ionosphere,” said Neil Gehrels, lead scientist for NASA’s gamma-ray watching Swift observatory.

Gehrels said in an email interview that the effect was similar to a solar-induced disruption but that the effect was “much smaller than a big solar flare.”

Still, scientists were surprised that a neutron star so far away could alter the ionosphere.

“That it can reach out and tap us on the shoulder like this, reminds us that we really are linked to the cosmos,” said Phil Wilkinson of IPS Australia, that country’s space weather service.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime event,” said Rob Fender of Southampton University in the UK. “We have observed an object only 20 kilometers across [12 miles], on the other side of our galaxy, releasing more energy in a tenth of a second than the sun emits in 100,000 years.”

Some researchers have speculated that one or more known mass extinctions hundreds of millions of years ago might have been the result of a similar blast altering Earth’s atmosphere. There is no firm data to support the idea, however. But astronomers say the sun might have been closer to other stars in the past.

A similar blast within 10 light-years of Earth “would destroy the ozone layer,” according to a CfA statement, “causing abrupt climate change and mass extinctions due to increased radiation.”

The all-clear has been sounded, however.

“None of the known sample [of magnetars] are closer than about 4,000-5,000 light years from us,” Gaensler said. “This is a very safe distance.”

Cause a mystery
Researchers don’t know exactly why the burst was so incredible. The star, named SGR 1806-20, spins once on its axis every 7.5 seconds, and it is surrounded by a magnetic field more powerful than any other object in the universe.

“We may be seeing a massive release of magnetic energy during a ‘starquake’ on the surface of the object,” said Maura McLaughlin of the University of Manchester in the UK.

Another possibility is that the magnetic field more or less snapped in a process scientists call magnetic reconnection.

  However, in recent months, actually like the past entire or so, whenever a search for the site would be conducted, untold numbers of sites would pop up, with words like “CLERGY” - as if it’s related to religiously 3 dimensional fear based organizations -

  I’ve just read The Ringing Cedars books 1,2,3. and well there’s a lot there…and clicked perfectly right into place. 
  A foremother met me. She showed just showed me things to me.  I was afraid of talking much about it because of the way that most people think things are, and truth be told, they’re quite dangerous. She was and IS Original Family” to me from the begining, and when I say “Original Family” it means from the begining, and we LIVED TOGETHER BEFORE PEOPLE began to die in this world.  

 She foretold a few storms – katrina and more – and then she showed me I 35 bridge going down- way in advance)  I suggest learning and applying Ho’oponopono.
  There are many LightWorlders avaible both on and offline who readily teach it, with ZERO GIMMICKS as well.

The name of the blog pages itself is to be LightWorlder – and will be.  It’s because it’s what we are. It’s what U are here is nothing else but your Divinity
There things I was shown to write and had done so. Didn’t even understand ALL of ‘why’ at the time but it made no difference. They actually built a Maharishi PEACE PALACE a small distance Eastwards of the Dolmens (Mounds) -I had repeatedly been shown that something was going to “Underline” a “Capitol Y” – Like a Peace Sign shape – sort of…. and I’d sit in front of the computer  knowing I was supposed to put a link- or feeling overwelmingly that it’s THERE I think is more accurate- then when I’d try to do so- with stuff my conscious mind knew about it’d go blank. Then one one day the Peace Palace was in the paper. This had more to do with MORE than I ever knew. I went to the Peace Palace for a presentation / I Loved it. Ran out and bought The Science of Being - Anastasia in The Ringing Cedar Series explains to Vladimer what Dolmens are, and says to him it’s very very good for him to physically go to a Dolmen, and – do exactly what the Peace Palace instructors are assisting people to do  ; ) ( : )

Those of you who had actually read axis – and “River of The holy Ghost -
and have seen what spirit does with ….”Light things- through digital cameras- orbs configuring themselves to communicate forming into symbols- pictures etc-” There’s quite the growing archives documenting these online – search for orbs- even a few movies I understand. By the way – my camera was actually stolen. They wanted the smart card on it. They didn’t take a guitar or anything else they stold the camera.

    You know- In The Ringing Cedar Series it mentions that way back -when a certain hell bent religious organization,  hell benton controlling the minds of the World’s people destroyed 30 or 40 Dolmens long ago in the Caucasus region, I read that the villagers publicly exterminated the same number of their representatives for each Dolmen destroyed.  I myself understand the term “Hell” – has it’s origins derived from “The Ground” – I don’t mean there’s a little goblins with pitchforks under your toes I mean it refered literally to yes, the ground, and wa sa word used to refer to catacombs / etc. Also there was something called a  “State of tataroo” – that’s certainly not knew information. I just felt a necessity to say this.

There’s a very big round hill overlooking downtown St Paul and the State Capitol complex …..you can find stories in newspaper archives about a tunnel that went underneath it – the stories claim they dug the tunnel for “important people” get to the building on top of the big rounded hill. I always thought that was strange…a nice scenic rounded huge hill….the building atop it is a beautiful one….and the entrances large, beautiful- and….all designed -the building and the entrances- to enhance the state of the person going through the door’s consciousness and emotional state to uplift them – and – on the edge of downtown St. Paul here was this spot where a tunnel was-that they said was there because they wanted to have a tunnel to walk  1/4 mile in a tunnel under under the hill instead of just going through the door even though they had to be outside and ride a horse or walk to the tunnel entrance….anyway… ( !?!?!??! ) seems quite a bit of work….

Huh……all that….after Ignatious Donnely ( or before? ) wrote a book titled “Antlantis The Antedeluvian World”  – which inspired 6000 other books in to be written and Madame Blavatsky ‘s works were influenced by it too.  Ignatious Donnely was MN’s 1st leutenant Gov and congressman in circa 1850′s – 60′s- he died bankrupt – when people asked him where he got his info for Antlantis The Antedeluvian World” from – he told them the truth.  Said from local Indians.  And where’s Heiroglyphs Jonathan Carver and others saw?

The hill is a place where LightWorlders gathered in a circle smiling. I highly suggest a DVD  by Freddy Silva titled “Stairways To Heaven”   -And “The Footsteps of Isis” can’t over-emphasize that enough.

For those of you who who understand a “Little bit” about the picture of  “The Frayed Knot Of NorKnow I” – this whole thing truly has been a blow minder ; ) I’m knot sure whom sent who to where, and bumped into who when Y whirrrr….and I’m aware you probably know it too. By the way…..was always to be astutely careful the wording – and as much as possible always trying to find the ORIGIN of the words to be used, and wherever possible substituting the lower vibrating present common terminology to convey closest LightWorlder meanings-(understandings?) of them. In the ringing cedar series a footnote says that the term “Siberia” ( Siberian Cedar Trees/etc) – says Siberia is a derivation of and ancient Tribe’s language, which means “World” or “Land- so there ya are.         Onced again, the joke was on me…I kept calling it a “LightWorlder Tree” and well Y Knot ; )

…And a very pleasant joke it’s truly turned out to be at that : )..a “Light-massed tree…” yes -  replicas of same are usually found every December…..and yes the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis ; ) comes from – yes – “U” -

 Big money pays big dollars to have their own sites show up first when people search for key words. There was very important information all throughout. There has been a massive increase of Light lately and others react freakily to it- all part of ascending- one of the side-effects is that ego attacks- without knowing even why – and well there ya go – so – i did just find this – to start it off…this ragtag posting of LightWorlder …after posting it on “World of Peace” – in the months that followed I was dumbfounded to observe the phenomenon of people suddenly claiming to channel the moose that was in the photos- (Moose’s name was Natalie” -  The Begining is at hand,
